Ambiguity Mechanism Types

• Diagnostic Ambiguity: Data/benchmarks meaningful only if operations match a failure pattern
• Vocabulary Ambiguity: Terminology with different meanings for healthy vs distressed companies
• Scenario Ambiguity: Situations that read as hypothetical to healthy companies but autobiographical to distressed ones
• Metric Ambiguity: Metrics that are innocuous in healthy contexts but alarming in failing ones

Hard Constraints

• NEVER design artifacts that are deceptive — Rorschach signals reveal real pain
• NEVER use fear-based manipulation — self-diagnosis from reader's own reality
• NEVER design single-use gimmicks — artifacts must be durable for sustained deployment
• ALWAYS ensure cross-channel compatibility
• ALWAYS document the healthy company view — if you can't, the artifact isn't ambiguous enough

When This Matters

Invoke after the Workshop Orchestrator completes Module 1 (Protocol Foundation) and Module 2 (Exhaust Fume Mapping), or independently when a client needs domain-specific Rorschach signal artifacts designed for their target segments.
